Our first stop was at Sol D'licious for a late lunch. We really saved our appetites because we wanted to try a variety of things. Although they have lots of smoothies and juices, we didn't end up having room for that, but we did get to try an amazing white bean soup and hummus (we dug in before I remembered to take the picture!). I ordered the BBQ seitan sandwich (left) and my boyfriend got the tofu burger. Both of them were very tasty. I also bought some kale chips I thought I was going to save for later, but ended up chomping them all down while we waited for our food. They were really good! To top it all off, we tried the vegan cinnamon roll--it was warm and gooey and delicious!
Everyone who worked there was super-friendly and one of the owners, Dama, stopped by to visit us. She asked how we enjoyed our food and talked a little about her goals for the business. Not only does the location house a cafe, but they also offer massage services, juice fasts and plenty of fitness classes from pilates and yoga to zumba and qi gong. Dama is aiming for success and hopes to open a similar location in the Milwaukee area next year if all goes well!
