The next Milwaukee Vegan Meetup will be Saturday September 10th at Noon at Cafe Manna in Brookfield. Cafe Manna is an all-vegetarian restaurant offering a more healthy selection of vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten-free options. Not only are they one of the few all veggie establishments in the Milwaukee area, they are also the first Certified Green Restaurant in Wisconsin!
They have recently updated and expanded their menu, so if you haven't visited in awhile, now is the time to try some of their new items. Make sure to RSVP (accurately, please--our count is always off!) on the Milwaukee Vegan Meetup sit
Did you know that Madison, Wisconsin has a farm sanctuary? The Heartland Farm Sanctuary was founded in 2009 and has really started getting active this year. In order to raise money, they are having their First Annual Dinner and Auction - "That's A-moo-re" on August 20th from 5:30 - 9:00pm.
The dinner/auction will be held at the West Side Club in Madison and a vegan Italian dinner will be served. The cost is $50 and includes a Barn Tour as well. You can see a list of all the auction items on their site. I believe Jessica of Compassionate Cake will be donating some delicious cupcakes for the event too, so how can you go wrong? Support a local sanctuary and enjoy some great vegan food!
