Help the good folks at Wisconsin's first and only farm sanctuary raise money to care for their animals and provide educational youth programs! Heartland Farm Sanctuary in Madison is having a Barn Dance event on Saturday November 12th. This is an all-ages events with activities for both adults and kids.

It will take place at Full Compass Systems on Madison's west side (9770 Silicon Prairie Parkway) from 4-7pm. A vegan dinner will be provided by Whole Foods, Willy Street Co-op and Bunky Cafe. Ale Asylum will be donating the beer. There will be a silent auction with lots of great items including gift certificates, a Dells Kalahari family vacation package, unique piggy banks decorated by local artists and more. Live music will be performed by Dark of the Moon Contra with dance caller Reid Miller.

Kids will enjoy crafts, face painting and meeting some of the resident sanctuary animals right outside the studio.

The cost is $25 per person or $75 per family. You can buy tickets on their website and you can spread the word through their Facebook event post.

This is a great way to help a growing organization and a perfect opportunity to spread the word of compassion to people of all ages!

It has been awhile, but the Ste Martaen Vegan Food Truck from Chicago will be back in Milwaukee for a visit Saturday afternoon, October 15th starting at approximately 1:30pm. Below you'll find a tentative schedule and menu.

A fantastic vegan event is coming up in Chicago on November 5th from 10am to 5pm -- it's Chicago Vegan Mania! This will be my first year going, so I'm super excited--I heard it's a great time! There will be tons of delicious vegan food, cooking demos, entertainment and speakers. It's taking place at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse at 1419 W. Blackhawk.

Some people from the Milwaukee Vegan Meetup group are carpooling, so take a look at the Meetup site for more info and to get in touch with others who are going as well.
