The August Milwaukee Vegan Meetup has been announced and it will be at The Eatery on Farwell at Noon on Saturday August 6th.

They will be creating a special vegan buffet for everyone so that we can all sample multiple items. The cost of the buffet will be $15 and will include one non-alcoholic drink and a sampling of all their vegan menu items--what a deal!

Since they've opened, the folks at the Eatery have really reached out to the vegan community to get ideas for entrees and feedback on their food. I've slowly been making my way through all of their options and I haven't been disappointed once. All the choices are unique to the standard vegan sandwiches we normally see--check out the Veg-a-stack Benedict at the top of the page and the Veggie Wrap with fried tofu and sweet potatoes to the right. Both are just amazing and flavorful. They also offer a field roast italian sausage, an excellent tofu skillet that is WAY different than your average tofu scrambler, and several other options.

Having a buffet will give us all a unique opportunity to taste many of their entrees in one sitting, so don't miss it. RSVP on the Vegan Meetup Site today! Hope to see you there!
