The April Milwaukee Vegan Meetup will be at Bel Air Cantina on the east side at Noon on April 2nd. This event has a maximum of 30 attendees, so be sure to RSVP appropriately and change your RSVP if you're unable to go.

Bel Air Cantina is owned by the same folks that run other local Milwaukee establishments such as Fuel Cafe, Comet Cafe, Palomino, Hi Hat and more. I've visited the restaurant once and really enjoyed the different salsas and the tofu options in their entrees. You won't go away hungry, that's for sure. They also have a huge variety of margaritas and tequilas.  I wonder if Noon is too early to start drinking? Not in Wisconsin!

For more details, check out their menu online and then go to the Milwaukee Vegan Meetup site and be sure to RSVP. I'll see you all there!

The next Milwaukee Vegan Bake Sale has been scheduled for Saturday May 14th at the Urban Ecology Center from 10AM - 5PM. Proceeds will go to Doctors without Borders (their efforts in Japan) and the Urban Ecology Center.

I was lucky enough to attend the last one and not only was the bakery fantastic, but it was my first visit to the Urban Ecology Center and I was amazed--what a fantastic facility! Check out their site for more info on offerings and memberships.

They are currently looking for people to contribute items for the bake sale, so sign-up and get ready to share your delicious vegan creations with everyone! Then, invite all your friends and family to come and enjoy all the fantastic bakery!

You can find out more information on the bake sale by visiting their website or following @MKEvegnbakesale.

Come join a bunch of fantastic vegans and animal rights activists March 20th at the North Shore Library in Glendale for the Great American Meatout!

Citizens United for Animals (CUFA) will be offering information on animal rights, vegan eating, video screenings and lots of delicious food samples. Bring an omnivore friend or family member with you and show them why you love being vegan!

All the details can be found on the Facebook event page. So, check it out and we'll see you there!
