OK, last week was kind of a bummer because the Ste Martaen vegan food truck had to cancel at the last minute. But, the great news is they have a driver secured for this Saturday February 26th, so they will be back in Milwaukee serving awesome vegan food!

Secure your tickets now for the Rockabilly Chili Contest coming up March 6th from 11am-4pm. There will be 50 competitors and 20 vegetarian chilis, many of those being vegan.

The event will benefit WMSE and will take place at the MSOE Kern Center. If you buy your tickets in advance you get 4 chili servings (that's one for free) and express entry.

The next Milwaukee vegan meetup will be at the new east side location of Classic Slice. I haven't been to this location yet, but I've definitely been a dedicated patron at the one in bay view. They have excellent vegan choices including a variety of pizza toppings including Follow Your Heart vegan cheese, tofu and vegan sausage. One of my favorite things is the vegan cheesy garlic breadsticks.

Milwaukee's own cookie connoisseur, Kelly Peloza, will be doing a cooking demo, providing samples and signing copies of her cookbook, The Vegan Cookie Connoisseur on Saturday February 12th at the Outpost Foods in Bay View.

There will be a presentation in the Community Room from 10:30 - 11:00AM and then Kelly will be in the store from 11:00AM - 2:00PM offering samples and signing books.
